Welcome to Plingpling ("we", "us", or "our"). Plingpling is developed and maintained by PlingPling (contact: info@plingpling.app). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Plingpling mobile application ("App") and website ("Website"), collectively referred to as the "Service." Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service. We may update this policy from time to time. We collect several types of information: a) Information You Provide Directly • Account registration data: name, email address, password • Profile information: life stage, interest topics, preferences, goals • User content: messages, files, and attachments you share in chat • Onboarding data: interests, taste calibration, daily challenge preferences • Communications with our support team b) Information Collected Automatically • Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers • Usage data: features used, session length, pages viewed, interactions • Log data: IP address, app activity timestamps, error reports • Location data: city-level location inferred from your IP address to filter relevant local news (no GPS or precise location is accessed) c) Information from Third Parties • When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name and email address as provided by those services • We do not receive your passwords from these providers d) Information from News Providers • News content in the App is sourced via Inoreader (inoreader.com). When news content is fetched, standard technical metadata (such as request timestamps) may be logged. We do not share your personal identity with Inoreader.

We use your information to: • Create and manage your account • Provide, personalize, and improve the Service • Generate personalized content recommendations, devotionals, curiosity cards, and news based on your interests and life stage • Process and respond to your AI chat conversations (Explain, Plan, Write, Guidance modes) • Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI responses (in anonymized/aggregated form only) • Send you product updates and notifications (you can opt out at any time) • Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends to improve user experience • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities • Comply with legal obligations We do not use your personal information to train third-party AI models.

Plingpling's core value is personalization. To deliver a personalized experience, we use: • Your selected life stage and interest topics to tailor content, devotionals, and suggestions • Your approximate city-level location, inferred from your IP address, to filter relevant local news • Your chat history within a session to provide contextual AI responses • Your engagement patterns to improve recommendation quality • Your taste calibration data to refine content suggestions Your chat conversations — including faith-related, devotional, and guidance discussions — are processed to generate responses but are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Archived chat history is stored securely and associated with your account. You can delete individual chats or your entire history at any time from within the App's Settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: a) Service Providers We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service, including cloud hosting, authentication (Firebase, Google, Apple), push notifications, and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to perform services on our behalf. b) Legal Requirements We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plingpling, our users, or the public. c) Business Transfers In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice in the App before such a transfer occurs. d) Aggregated or Anonymized Data We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, analysis, or improvement purposes.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Specific retention periods: • Account information: retained until account deletion • Chat history: retained until you delete individual conversations or your account • Usage analytics: retained for up to 24 months in identifiable form, then anonymized • Log data: retained for up to 90 days When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include: • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) • Encrypted storage for sensitive account information • Secure authentication using Firebase Auth • Regular security assessments and monitoring No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected information about your child, please contact us at info@plingpling.app and we will promptly delete such information.

Plingpling provides faith-based features including daily devotionals, Bible verse explanations, and prayer support. Please note: • Your engagement with devotional content is stored to personalize your experience • Faith-related conversations are subject to the same privacy protections as all other chat data • We do not share your faith-related data with religious organizations or third parties • AI-generated spiritual guidance is for informational purposes only and does not constitute religious counsel You can adjust or disable faith-based features in the App's Settings at any time.

The Service integrates with several third-party services. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies: • Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud storage, push notifications. Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy • Google Sign-In — optional social login. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. • Apple Sign-In — optional social login. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. • Facebook SDK — optional social login. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. • Inoreader — news content aggregation and delivery. When you view news in the App, content is fetched via Inoreader's API. We do not pass your personal identity to Inoreader. Privacy policy: inoreader.com/privacy-policy • IP Geolocation — we use IP-based geolocation to infer your approximate city for news filtering. No GPS data is accessed. The inferred city is used only for content personalization and is not stored long-term. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

The Plingpling website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to: • Maintain your session and preferences • Analyze website traffic and usage (via analytics tools) • Improve website performance You can control cookie settings through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain parts of our Website. The App does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses device-level storage (AsyncStorage) for session and preference data.

Plingpling operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. These countries may have different data protection laws. When we transfer personal data outside your jurisdiction, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons.
