Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Plingpling mobile application ("App") or accessing plingpling.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Website. These Terms apply to all users of Plingpling, including users who access the app as guests, registered account holders, and any other users of the service.

Plingpling is an AI-powered conversational companion app ("Service") developed by PlingPling (info@plingpling.app) that provides: • AI-powered chat with four assistance modes: Explain, Plan, Write, and Guidance • Daily devotionals, Bible verse exploration, and faith-based support • Personalized content discovery and recommendation • Curated news feed filtered by location and interests • Interest-based onboarding and profile personalization • Daily challenges and curiosity prompts The Service is available on iOS and Android platforms. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.

To access certain features, you may create an account using: • Email and password • Google Sign-In • Apple Sign-In • Facebook Sign-In You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Plingpling is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Service.

You agree not to use the Service to: • Violate any applicable laws or regulations • Upload or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems • Upload malicious files, viruses, or any other harmful software • Use the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent • Harvest or collect user information from other users • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service • Misuse faith-based or devotional features to spread content that is contrary to their intended purpose We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms.

You retain ownership of any content you upload or submit to the Service ("User Content"), including messages, attachments, and profile information. By submitting User Content, you grant Plingpling a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights. We do not sell your User Content to third parties.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, recommendations, and content — including responses related to faith, scripture, and spiritual topics. You acknowledge that: • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for certain purposes • AI responses should not be relied upon as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, spiritual counseling, or otherwise) • Plingpling's AI-generated devotionals and Biblical perspectives are for personal reflection and exploration only — they do not constitute religious authority or professional pastoral guidance • Plingpling does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content • You use AI-generated content at your own risk Always verify important information from authoritative sources.

The Service uses third-party services to deliver certain features: • News content is sourced via Inoreader (inoreader.com). Plingpling is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of news content. Your interaction with news content is subject to Inoreader's terms of service. • User location (city level) is determined using IP-based geolocation services. No GPS or precise location data is collected. This is used solely to filter relevant local news. You may disable location-based filtering in the app's Settings. These services may collect certain technical data as necessary to deliver their functionality. Please review their respective privacy policies.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding User Content) are and will remain the exclusive property of Plingpling and its licensors. Our trademarks, logo, and brand elements may not be used without our prior written permission. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to our collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy at plingpling.app/privacy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLINGPLING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Plingpling and its developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason. You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings section of the App. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you a notification through the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
